Partnership and Cooperation with local Fire and Rescue

The STC has:

  • Connected local residents familiar with the forest to assist authorities in locating lost or injured visitors.

  • Donated GPS units to Pope County Rescue for search and rescue operations.

  • Contributed funding for a rescue trailer to safely transport injured individuals from the forest.

  • Purchased specialized ATV exhaust equipment to redirect fumes away from those being transported in emergencies.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Pope County and other local emergency service providers.
